History

Brent Harrison, owner and operator of Alpha Tax Solutions, is a native of Plainview, Texas, and a Texas Tech graduate with a BS in Finance/Real Estate. Brent began his career with the Lubbock Central Appraisal District in 1990 and worked there for 16 years as an appraiser and supervisor. During that time, he grew to understand and appreciate the appraisal district’s responsibilities and its challenges. He also grew to appreciate the need for property owners to better understand their rights and to have access to professional representation in the property tax process. Because of his desire to help property owners navigate the property tax process, he made the professional transition into private practice as a property tax consultant in 2006. Brent now owns and operates Alpha Tax Solutions. His company is the largest commercial property tax consulting company based in Lubbock County and represents properties in more than 80 Texas counties and multiple states.

Brent has built his business on a foundation of integrity in dealing with the client and the appraisal districts. The company seeks to operate honestly and fairly in all that they do. We seek fair and equitable resolutions. We are not trying to “win at all costs” in our deliberations. We are seeking a result that is fair, accurate, and the result of an integrity-filled process. We will fully and aggressively seek that result. We believe that is a success for our clients. We pursue that result with transparency, professionalism, and a tireless work ethic.

In the last few years, we have grown in many ways. We have attracted over 1,000 new properties, hundreds of new clients, and have grown our staff significantly. The properties that we now represent are collectively valued at over $2.3 billion. Even in the midst of this growth, we have maintained our focus on our values.
